Beginner’s triumph for Olympiakos Volou
Olympiakos Volou scored a precious away win in its maiden game in a European competition on July 14, beating Rad Belgrade 1-0 away in the Europa League.
The Volos side won the first leg of the second-qualifying-round home-and-away tie thanks to a goal headed in by Juan Martin in the 87th minute.
The return leg is in Volos on July 21, while the Thessaly club will be eagerly awaiting the draw for the next round that will take place in Switzerland on July 15. PAOK will also take part in the draw for the third qualifying round.
Also on July 15, Panathinaikos will find out its opponent for the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
