Aris parts ways with coach Tsiolis
Aris dismissed coach Sakis Tsiolis on October 31 after just six games in the Super League, following the Thessaloniki club’s 3-0 loss at AEK.
The club announced that the end of their cooperation was agreed upon by common consent, but his sacking was already certain from Sunday evening, when Aris was still without a win for the sixth match in a row.
Aris bid the former Olympiakos Volou coach good luck for the future, while Tsiolis stated that «things do not always go the way you want them to in soccer.» He also expressed hope that he might work for the Thessaloniki Yellows again at some point in the future.
Although Aris has not yet named a successor, reports suggest that youth team manager Nikos Passialis will coach the team for the big game against Olympiakos on November 5 in Thessaloniki.
One of the reports suggested that Serbian coach Dusan Bajevic might stage a spectacular return to the club he resigned from in 2008.
