Big win for Levadiakos at OFI

Levadiakos scored a precious away win at OFI Crete to rise above the bottom two in the Super League table on December 28, while Aris eased to a comfortable home victory over 10-man Doxa Dramas.

Stelios Vassiliou scored his fourth goal for the Viotia team one minute from time as Levadiakos downed OFI 1-0 at Iraklio to climb to nine points from eight games, in one of the two matches postponed from the third round of games.

He was not the only hero for the team coached by Giorgos Paraschos. Levadiakos also had keeper Dimitris Kyriakidis to thank for his penalty save as he beat OFI’s Zeljko Kalajdzic on the stroke of the hour.

Aris moved up to the 10th spot through a 2-0 win over Doxa Dramas, which was reduced to 10 men two minutes before halftime when Petros Kanakoudis was handed a second yellow card.

Javier Umbides gave Aris the lead 13 minutes into the game and Costas Kapetanos made it 2-0 in the 79th.

Doxa remains stuck at the foot of the table with one point from eight games.

The next round of Super League games will be on January 3 and 4.
