Djebbour stretches Reds’ lead to 10 points

Olympiakos stretched its lead at the top of the Super League table to 10 points as it scraped through the Livadia challenge with a late winner, while PAOK stumbled at home against Atromitos.

Levadiakos thought it had forced Olympiakos to stay goalless for the first time in the league this season, as all five minutes of injury time had lapsed with the match at 0-0, but the game was decided in the seventh minute of time added-on through a last-ditch header by top scorer Rafik Djebbour. His 14th goal in the league sealed Olympiakos’s 1-0 away win.

PAOK played a rather poor game at home against Atromitos and the 0-0 result was fair on Sunday evening in Thessaloniki.

Panathinaikos stretched its winless streak to four games sharing a goalless draw with host PAS Giannina on Saturday afternoon. The Greens were spared a third straight defeat thanks to their goalkeeper, Orestis Karnezis, who denied the Ioannina team’s efforts on several occasions.

A former Panathinaikos player, Antonis Petropoulos has finally put his scoring boots on, as his goal saw AEK grab a precious 1-0 win over visiting Xanthi on Saturday.

In other weekend matches OFI dismissed Aris 2-0 on Crete, Veria equalized at Panionios (1-1) in the last minute and Panthrakikos shared a 1-1 draw with Platanias at home.

On Monday Kerkyra hosts Asteras Tripolis on Corfu.
