Greek wonderkids do it again
A few months after captivating the soccer world’s attention with an amazing goal that went viral on the web, the youth team of AO Giannina, in the northwestern Greek city of Ioannina, have done it again, this time against hometown rivals Asteras.
The team of the 11- and 12-year-old players in bright orange uniforms, dubbed “Baby Barcelona by the local media, exchanged 25 passes before finishing off their attack with a spectacular overhead kick.
AO Giannina, who were recently invited to face Barcelona’s youth team in Spain, thrashed their opponents away from home 7-0.
