Greek Australians triumph at Wimbledon

Greek Australian Nick Kyrgios and Thanassis Kokkinakis triumphed in the boys doubles final in Wimbledon beating France’s Enzo Couacaud and Italy’s Stefano Napolitano on Sunday.

Kyrgios and Kokkinakis won in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) and made it look easy on the day.

In the semis Kyrgios and Kokkinakis had defeated the Italian pair of Filippo Baldi and Matteo Donati 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.

While Britain is engulfed by Murray Mania, the pair of young Australians of Greek origin have not only made Australians proud but also the Greek community Down Under.

This is the second Grand Slam title for Kyrgios this year after winning the boys’ singles trophy at the Australian Open.
