Hammer thrower Alexandra Papageorgiou threw a Greek record 66.66 meters at the Balkan Championships this weekend in Thebes to finish second behind world record-holder Mihaela Melinte of Romania. Greece won the men’s track and field events and was second in the women’s standings, behind Romania.
