Greece advanced…
Despite losing 73-72 to Croatia – its first loss in the tournament – late on Wednesday night (photo), Greece advanced to the semifinals of the World Junior Basketball Championships, where it will face Lithuania tomorrow. Croatia will play Australia in the other semifinal. The tournament, originally to be staged in Malaysia, was moved to Thessaloniki after the SARS outbreak.
