Greek hoopsters stroll to win against Georgia
Greece strolled to its third win in as many group games at the first stage of the 2015 Eurobasket beating Georgia 79-68 in Zagreb on Tuesday.
The Greek national team produced an astonishing 50-22 lead at the end of the first half, performing some perfect basketball at times.
In the second half coach Fotis Katsikaris chose to rest his main players and give some playing time to most of his squad, which resulted in Georgia cutting the distance to just 11 points in the end.
Nick Calathes was Greece’s top scorer with 19 points, while Yiannis Antetokounmpo and Costas Koufos notched up 12 each.
Greece is alone on top of the group staged in Croatia and on Wednesday afternoon it is facing Slovenia.
