Greece lines up friendlies with Montenegro, Iceland

Greece will face Montenegro on March 24 and Iceland five days later in friendly home contests announced on Wednesday by the country's soccer federation.

The Greeks, European champions in 2004, failed to qualify for Euro 2016 and with new coach Michael Skibbe of Germany are looking to prepare for the World Cup 2018 qualification round.

Iceland has qualified for the Euro 2016 tournament next summer in France and will be competing in Group 6 with Austria, Hungary and Portugal.

Montenegro also did not qualify for Euro 2016 and is preparing for the World Cup 2018 qualification circuit.
