Kalloni and Panthrakikos go down from the Super League

Panthrakikos and Kalloni Lesvou were mathematically relegated to the second division with three rounds of games left to play in the regular season of the Super League, while Panetolikos upset AEK with a last-minute goal at Agrinio on Sunday.

Atromitos beat Panthrakikos 1-0 at Komotini to seal the Thrace club’s demotion to the Football League, while Kalloni suffered a 3-0 defeat at PAOK, that scored its second win in as many games after caretaking coach Vladan Ivic took over.

Portuguese striker Hernani scored both goals as Olympiakos defeated host Asteras 2-1at Tripoli, with the Peloponnesians pulling one back via Elini Dimoutsos.

AEK appeared destined for a goalless draw at Panetolikos but its host change that in the dying seconds of the game through a shot by Brazilian Marcos Paulo.

Another Brazilian, Rodrigo Moledo, scored twice in one game for the first time in his career helping Panathinaikos thrash Iraklis 4-0 at home. Marcus Berg scored the other two for the Greens that are now five points behind second-placed AEK.

Platanias has climbed to a surprising fifth after defeating Veria 1-0 away on Saturday, but the weekend’s best game was at Xanthi, where the local team drew 2-2 with Levadiakos.
