Sports Digest: Tough day for Iraklis in soccer and basketball

VOLLEYBALL: The Greek men’s national volleyball team made it two out of two in the Netherlands beating Austria 3-2 on Wednesday for its qualifying group of the World Championship. On Thursday it faces the host for the precious top spot in the pool.
BASKETBALL: Faros Keratsiniou has earned the last remaining spot in next season’s Basket league after beating Iraklis 86-75 on Wednesday in the A2 division play-off finals to win the best-of-five series 3-1.
