Tiny lifter not light enough
Pint-sized Halil Mutlu will be in a bit of a sweat in his bid to join the elite group of lifters with three Olympic gold medals, compatriot Naim Suleymanoglu and Greeks Pyrros Dimas and Kakhi Kakiashvilli. The Turk needs to lose a kilogram before competing Sunday in the 56kg division. «I need to lose about a kilo in the next few days – I am about 57 kilos at the moment,» Mutlu admitted before training yesterday. He won a gold in different weight categories in Atlanta and Sydney, grabbed top spot in the 62kg category at the 2003 worlds, but has dropped to 56kg for the Athens Olympics. (AFP)
