Iraklis star player and American international Lloy Ball (photo), a major contributor to his side’s triumphs in the Greek volleyball league and cup competitions this season, was this week named MVP (Most Valuable Player) for the season by a panel of local sports journalists and team coaches. Iraklis coach Alekos Leonis was voted Best Coach. Iraklis came close to the perfect season. Besides remaining undefeated all season for its domestic league and cup titles, the team also reached the European Champions League final, but went down to French club Tours.
