Rivaldo contract extended
The wishes of most Olympiakos fans were satisfied as Brazilian soccer attraction Rivaldo signed a one-year extension to his contract, which will fetch him 1.8 million euros. «I wanted to stay; they wanted me, so we have agreed,» a beaming Rivaldo stated upon exiting the Olympiakos offices in Piraeus yesterday. President Socrates Kokkalis said the Brazilian «is the biggest transfer ever in Greece.” Olympiakos will only be watching this weekend, as its match with Iraklis takes place on Monday. On Saturday, Aegaleo hosts Larissa, while all other matches are scheduled for Sunday. They are: AEK vs Levadiakos; Xanthi vs Panathinaikos; Akratitos vs PAOK; Panionios vs Apollon Kalamaria; Atromitos vs Ionikos and Kallithea vs OFI.
