Coach formalizes his post with Greece
Panayiotis Yiannakis, whose tenure as Greece’s basketball coach has been based on an informal agreement, signed a one-year deal yesterday. Yiannakis, who led Greece to its European title last summer, had not signed a formal deal because it was considered secondary to his official post as coach of Maroussi, from which he recently resigned. The deal allows him to coach with Greece should he sign full-time with a new club.
