Tickets for the Euroleague’s Final Four basketball tournament in Athens between May 4 and 6 will reach buyers by Tuesday at the latest, the event’s organizers said yesterday. Organizers said that 90 percent of tickets will get to buyers by tomorrow. With Athens club Panathinaikos, a three-time European champion, through to the Final Four tournament, 8,500 tickets have been allotted to the Greek club. Panathinaikos will meet Tau Ceramica in the semifinals. Defending champions CSKA Moscow hosts Maccabi tonight for a Final Fourth berth, while Unicaja greets Barcelona. The victorious sides from these two clashes will meet in the Final Four’s other semifinal. Orders for Final Four tickets have been made from various parts of the world, including Japan, where a female fan said she was prompted to attend after being impressed by Greece’s silver-medal performance at last summer’s World Cup in Japan.
