Sofoklis Scortsianitis (r) led Greece’s Under-19 national team to victory in the prestigious Albert Schweitzer tournament in Mannheim, Germany yesterday. Greece defeated France, Israel, Russia and Yugoslavia on its way to the final, where it beat Spain 79-70. Scortsianitis, the 17-year-old Iraklis center, led the team with 26 points in the final, and was the tournament’s top scorer, with an average of 22.8 points per game.
