Battle for places in the Cup final
The Greek Cup’s semifinalists go into second-leg action today for their places in the soccer competition’s final next month. Panathinaikos was held to a 0-0 draw at home by Xanthi in the first leg. With a Champions League berth now looking unlikely, Panathinaikos is focusing on the Greek Cup and a UEFA Cup berth. The tournament’s surprise side, PAS Yiannina, from the second division, greets Larissa needing to overcome a 2-0 defeat from the first leg. Yiannina eliminated defending champion Olympiakos in the quarterfinals.
