Olympiakos takes series to fifth game

Olympiakos beat Thessaloniki basketball club Aris 92-68 at home last night to level their best-of-five league semifinal series at 2-2. The two clubs meet again on Saturday in the deciding game with Aris as the host. Both clubs remain undefeated at home in the series. Aris can expect to play before a capacity home crowd on Saturday’s do-or-die match after a sports tribunal yesterday cleared the club of charges that could have forced it to play before empty stands. Aris fans reportedly tossed cash-register paper rolls onto the arena during the previous game of the series. Defending champion Panathinaikos, the reigning European champion, has already qualified for the final, also a best-of-five series.
