Thodoris Zagorakis, who captained the national soccer team to its European title in 2004, at a news conference yesterday ahead of Greece’s friendly against Spain at Thessaloniki’s Toumba Stadium tomorrow. The match is being held as a tribute to the long-serving player, who recently retired from competition to lead a consortium into a takeover of PAOK, where he ended his playing days. Zagorakis was capped 119 times between 1994 and 2006.
