Reds fail in tight finale
Olympiakos squandered a seven-point lead in the final quarter at Montepaschi Siena to eventually lose 86-84 in a Euroleague Group A game between two contestants, each of which was hoping to go clear second. Siena, now on a 5-2 record, trails the group leader CSKA Moscow by one win. «Unfortunately we made two errors in the end. Some of my players are still not used to producing at the end of big games,» said Olympiakos coach Pini Gershon. «But we played a good game and, above all, can still improve.» Terrel McIntyre came up with a key steal, basket and assist in the final minute to tilt the tight encounter in his team’s favor.
