Both through, now vying for better draw
Olympiakos basketball club hosts Montepaschi Siena tonight in one of the Euroleague’s more important games this week. Both clubs have already secured their places in the competition’s next stage, the Top 16, but are still jostling to optimize their chances of favorable draws. Montepaschi, currently second in Group A with a 9-4 record, could end anywhere between first and third. On a 7-6 record, injury-troubled Olympiakos is struggling following two consecutive Euroleague losses and a defeat in the Greek league. The Piraeus club hopes to have Arvydas Macijauskas back tonight.
