PAO boss shuns calls to sell off some shares
Panathinaikos head Yiannis Vardinoyiannis, whose stake in the soccer team is close to 100 percent, has shunned calls for him to sell shares in the club. Furthermore, he intends to set up a company to develop foreign talent, he told a news conference yesterday. «Panathinaikos needs no [outside] help to make signings,» he said. The club boss proposed a new company – that would be part of the club – to develop mostly foreign young talent and identify potential signings. The company, Vardinoyiannis noted, would welcome investment from others.
