Aris has one final chance for survival in the Euroleague when it is hosted by Turkish champions Fenerbahce tonight. The Thessaloniki team, which has lost all three of its Group E games, needs a win to keep its faint hopes alive. With a 2-1 record in the group, the Turkish team would consolidate its claim for a place in the Euroleague’s quarterfinal playoffs. «We still have a chance to qualify,» said Aris coach Herbert Gordon. «What is necessary is to have balance between our defense and offense during the entire game,» he added. Tomorrow, defending champions Panathinaikos also face Turkish opposition, Efes Pilsen, at home, needing to overcome a poor 1-2 start in Group D. Olympiakos, also with a 1-2 record in Group F, is hosted by front-runner Maccabi.
