Basketball boss set to splash out for soccer
Panathinaikos basketball club’s boss Pavlos Giannakopoulos said yesterday that he would be willing to contribute -10 million to the share capital increase being planned by the club’s soccer division. Giannakopoulos, who has led his basketball team to four Euroleague titles over the past 12 years, did not clarify whether his brother Thanassis Giannakopoulos, a partner in the basketball club’s division, would participate.
