Panathinaikos has yet to announce its new soccer coach, although it is widely understood that Dutch manager Henk ten Cate, the former assistant to Avram Grant at Chelsea, will take over at the Greens. Ten Cate has reportedly signed a two-year contract but he still has certain issues outstanding with the English club. Otherwise, his official appointment is only a matter of time. His hiring will open the way for Barcelona defender Oleguer Presas to move to Panathinaikos and join his former assistant coach at Barcelona, under the management of Frank Rijkaard. The Greens are set to offer him 2 million euros.
