Olympic Village…
The Greek mission to the Olympics reached the Olympic Village in Beijing yesterday ahead of today’s opening ceremony, starting at exactly 3.08 p.m. Greek time. The Greek athletes, escorts and sports officials were greeted by top Greek and Chinese political and sports figures who wished them the best of luck in the Games. The Greek flag was officially raised on the village flagpole to signify the arrival of the squad. Greece is sending its biggest ever mission to an Olympics staged abroad.
