A chance for Greece
The 2010 World Championship draw for the Greek volleyball team was as good as expected, opening the way for a return to the highest tier of the sport. Greece will be the host of one of the second-round groups next May, facing Portugal, Slovenia, Denmark and the winner of the first-round group consisting of Austria, Hungary, Romania and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The top three teams from each group advance to the crucial third round, to be held August 14-30, 2009.
