Volleyball final to be staged for children only

Following the riots that forced the postponement of the volleyball cup final last Sunday, the federation decided on Monday to hold the final in Athens before an audience of just children and no hardcore fans. The Hellenic Volleyball Federation ruled that Panathinaikos and Olympiakos will play at a venue in the capital at a time to be decided later, adding that only schoolchildren and junior volleyball athletes will be allowed to watch from the stands. On Sunday, just before the start of the final in Patras, Olympiakos fans wearing Panathinaikos scarves entered the area reserved for the Greens and started attacking the Panathinaikos supporters before turning on members of the press, from whom they also stole computers and mobile phones. On Saturday, Panathinaikos fans stabbed at least two Olympiakos fans.
