Edinho will be making his return to the AEK squad after being left out of the team that faced Asteras Tripolis last Sunday. Some 15,000 fans are expected to attend the match at the Olympic Stadium in Athens. The winner of this tie will play the team to emerge from the quarterfinal between Panathinaikos and Panserraikos. Barcelona in town Panionios hosts Barcelona tonight for the first leg of the semifinal of water polo’s LEN Trophy and is hoping for a victory, even by a small margin, which would allow it to travel to Spain on March 21 with some realistic hope of reaching the competition’s final. Coach Costas Loudis has scorer Antonis Vlontakis doubtful for the match due to injury. Vlontakis’s absence would be a blow for the Nea Smyrni side’s chances. Ski laurels Greek skier Vassilis Dimitriadis finished first in the slalom event at an international meeting in Sarajevo, Bosnia. He won by a margin of 1.5 seconds from second-placed Antonio Ristevski. In the women’s event Sophia Ralli finished second.
