Greeks in SA unhappy with Rehhagel but will back him today

Johannesburg – Yesterday was the 34th anniversary of a student uprising in Soweto but the locals were hoping it would also mark South Africa’s first win in this World Cup. The Greek fans were also gearing up for today’s big game in Bloemfontein against Nigeria, chanting songs and waving flags, although they stopped short of voicing any optimism for the match. They are adamant, however, that there will be «real mayhem» if Greece scores. Greeks here in Johannesburg all believe that coach Otto Rehhagel has to go, but they say they will be 100 percent behind him and the national team in the two remaining games for the group stage.
