The Olympiakos basketball club will try tonight to recover from its shock loss to Germany’s Bamberg in the Euroleague last week when it hosts Spain’s Unicaja Malaga. Victory is essential for the Greeks if they do not want to lose a chance at the top spot of their group. The game’s tipoff is at 7.30 p.m. before a near-full house at the Peace and Friendship Stadium. The tie also marks the return to Piraeus of former Olympiakos player Giorgos Printezis, who moved to Malaga in the summer of 2009. Tomorrow night, Panathinaikos visits Olimpija Ljubljana, in a top-of-the-table clash that will give the Greeks the chance to go clear to the pool’s summit. The game in Slovenia starts at 9.45 p.m. and will be aired live on NET.
