Gifts and antiques weekend

The energetic mother and daughter team of Peggy and Dafni Zoumboulakis are hosting a «Gifts and Collectors Items Standing the Test of Time» show at the Zoumboulakis Galleries downtown outlet tomorrow. From noon onward, wine and music will accompany visitors taking a closer look at vintage items defined by a strong Greek element. A wide range of goods will be on display, including gifts, old and contemporary works of art, 18th, 19th and 20th century furniture items and smaller objects, traditional decorative items as well as practical utensils, pieces of jewelry, silverware, china, carpets, ceramics and embroideries, re-editions from foreign museum stores, and a series of collectors items. Besides the Zoumboulakis Galleries’ very own Arts & Antique department, participating at the four-day show are Theodoros Mintzas’s Anthes, Apostolos Argyriadis’s Palaiopolio, Angelos Vlastaris’s Palaiopolio and Thanassis and Bessy Giannoukou’s Antiqua. Running to Tuesday, the show will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment. At tomorrow’s opening, there will also be a presentation of «Houses in Greece – Under the Sun,» a book by Vassilis Makris and Philippe Thebaud, published by Potamos Editions.
