Christmas bazaar for the Greek Girl Guides
Next Sunday, December 2, the Greek Girl Guides are holding their Christmas bazaar at the Zappeion Hall from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. A wide variety of gifts, books, cards, jewelry, candles, plants, handicrafts and homemade sweets from all over the country, as well as clothing in very good condition, will be on sale, all in the spirit of the season. There will be organized games for children and a refreshment stand. The motto this year is a Sunday for the whole family. Alekos Fasianos has designed this year’s lucky New Year’s coin, depicting an Olympic champion crowned with an olive wreath, as in antiquity. It is a collector’s item in silver and gold. On one side is the face of the athlete and on the other, the artist’s signature and the phrase the beautiful, the great and the true 2002.
