In love with the cities
I painted the cities I lived in and loved. I see them developing today and I’m sad. Athens seems to be taking away what it once so generously gave me. And Thessaloniki is not far behind. I’m still faithful to them both. I persist in loving them and drawing the unparalleled dream-like atmosphere they once had, says Yiannis Stavrou. His exhibition of paintings is organized by Ianos booksellers and publishers at the Stoa tou Vivliou (Pesmazoglou and Panepistimiou) and opens 8 p.m. Monday, December 3 (till 15/12). ATMs in Metro stations. The National Bank of Greece is opening nine ATMs in Athens Metro stations at 10 p.m. today. These are located at Omonia, Syntagma (two in each), Megaron Mousikis, Sepolia, Panepistimio and Ambelokipi. A further 13 ATMs are planned for installation in the remaining stations.
