Premiere at the Egyptian Embassy
The Egyptian Embassy was brightly lit to welcome diplomats and friends to the world premiere of Leo Cottakis’s symphony «The Last Voyage.» Together with the live performance, Ambassador Magda Shahin organized a sale of books and CDs, including Evangelos Sachperoglou’s translations of C.P. Cavafy’s poetry. The whole affair was in aid of the restoration of the manuscripts of the Saint Catherine Monastery on Mount Sinai.
