A special visitor to Kathimerini

Kathimerini English Edition had a special visitor on Tuesday. International Herald Tribune executive editor David Ignatius was in town to attend a conference on the Greek economy jointly run by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and the IHT. He addressed the conference on the subject of The Media and the Political and Economic Image of Greece Abroad. During his visit to the newspaper, Ignatius spoke of plans to revamp the IHT, while maintaining the paper’s high standards of journalism. He emphasized the need for the kind of investigative journalism which is his own specialty. Ignatius told Helbi that he was at university with Greek Defense Minister, Yiannos Papantoniou. Apart from his work as a journalist, Ignatius has also found time to write bestsellers. Tom Cruise has bought the film rights to one of them. Difficulty for TVX Hellas investment overcome
