Book lovers are invited to contribute to funds being raised for people affected by the tsunami that struck southeast Asia on Boxing Day, 2004. The National Book Center (EKEBI) and the Athens Booksellers League (SEBA) have placed collection boxes in 50 Athenian bookshops and cultural centers. The collection started Monday and will continue to February 12. The money will be turned over to Deputy Culture Minister Petros Tatoulis who will pass it on to the United Nations.
