Vana Solomonidis, new fellow of King’s

The 2005 King’s College fellows have been announced and among them is Victoria Solomonidis (known as Vana to her husband Keith Hunter and many friends). She has done sterling work as cultural attache at the Greek Embassy in London and as the UK representative of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture. She is an alumna of King’s where she wrote her prize-winning doctoral dissertation on modern Greek history. Among the distinguished new fellows are writer Mario Vargas Llosa, novelist, playwright and broadcaster Rory Bremner and a number of professors and leading administrators. The official ceremony where fellows appear in the traditional caps and gowns was held last Tuesday at the Barbican Hall.
