New workshops, bazaar, launch
Applications are being accepted for the 2006 Aegean Arts Circle writing workshops on Andros. Nick Papandreou, Chicago poet and writer Beatriz Badikian and New York poet and writer June Gould will lead three separate workshops this summer. Book bazaar The annual book bazaar run by the Publishers League and City of Athens’s cultural organization starts in Klafthmonos Square tomorrow. Thousands of books will be on sale for prices as low as 1 euro. (Till February 26, from 10 a.m. to 9.45 p.m.) Launch Livanis Publishers presents Anna Panayiotarea’s much-discussed new novel «O kyriarhos ton okto» («Master of the 8 O’Clock News») on February 20 at Ianos bookstore.
