Anna sings for the children
Popular singer Anna Vissi is to perform at a benefit for children in need at the Peace and Friendship Stadium on March 3. The proceeds from the concert, at which Vissi is to sing free of charge, are to go to 10 philanthropic organizations. Vissi is currently appearing at Athens Pallas theater in the musical «Mala,» the story of a young Jewish girl during the Holocaust. Vissi’s performance, the scenery and costumes have been well received by critics and audiences, although reactions to the length of the show, which runs to three hours, have been mixed. The issue of the university administering the hospital was the topic of discussion last week at the minister’s meeting with Athens University Rector Giorgos Babiniotis, Athens Medical School President Christos Kittas and Vice President Giorgos Kreatsas.
