‘In the name of Eleni’ rhapsody

A symphonic rhapsody titled «In the name of Eleni» and composed by Dimitris Papadimitriou in order to accompany texts compiled by K.H. Myris from the works of Homer, Aeschylus and Euripides, Kazantzakis, Sikelianos, Ritsos and Elytis, is scheduled to go on stage on March 13 at the Athens Concert Hall. The ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra and the Ambitus ensemble will be performing the music, accompanied by singers Fotini Dara, Irini Karayianni and Andreas Smynakis. The second half of the program in what promises to be a delightful musical evening is to be devoted to Papadimitriou’s popular songs.
