Meet authors at book launches
Speros Vryonis will sign copies of his book «The Mechanism of Catastrophe: The Turkish Pogrom of September 6-7, 1955 and the Destruction of the Greek Community of Istanbul» at 5 p.m. today at Estia (60 Solonos, tel 210.361.5077). Yovanna Kedros will be launching «Fevgo, agapisa» (I’m Leaving, I’ve Loved) by singer and writer Yovanna on June 11. Actor Costas Arzoglou will read extracts from the novel and pianist Christos Koumbousis will accompany Yovanna at the Benaki Museum (1 Koumbari street; tel Kedros 210.380.9712). Fresh take on life Her book «9 Days to Heaven» is a journey of spiritual development that offers a completely fresh take on life, says writer and self-development facilitator Teresa O’Driscoll. During the launch at 6.30 p.m. on June 11 she will share insights from the book at the Eleftheroudakis bookstore (17 Panepistimiou).
