Who won at the Drama Film Festival

The 31st Drama Short Film Festival ended on Saturday with the awards ceremony. The 3,000-euro Grand Prix went to the Canadian film «Next Floor,» while the second award, of 2,400 euros, went to French production «Foreign Bodies.» The European Film Academy’s special UIP Prix Drama was given to Hungary’s «With a Little Patience.» In the festival’s Greek section, the first fiction prize (4,500 euros) went to Iosifina Markarian’s «Partners,» a film about immigration. The special Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace Prize (4,000 euros) went to Christos Kanakis’s «Odomachies» (Street Fights), while the Fnac New Talent award of 2,000 euros was given to Constantinos Yiallouridis’s «Odigies chriseos» (Instructions for Use). Costas Kakoyiannis and Pambos Kouzalis’s «Ypervasi» (Transcendence) won the documentary award and the first student award went to Alexandros Sipsidis and Costas Fragoulis for «Gala» (Milk).
