About ‘The Dust of Time’

It is Theo Angelopoulos’s 13th feature film to date and one that has stirred plenty of emotion – as well as objections. Two months following its release in Greece, «The Dust of Time» continues its journey. The film raises a number of questions, some of which relate to the director’s own path, while others have to do with the movie’s subject matter, which covers the 20th century through the story of an impossible love. On the initiative of the Eleftherotypia newspaper, the Trianon cinema is presenting a series of screenings and discussions at which «The Dust of Time» provides the opportunity for politicians, authors, directors and journalists to engage in a dialogue with audiences. Participating in the discussions, which follow the film’s 8 p.m. screening, are politicians Nikos Constantopoulos and Evangelos Venizelos and author Petros Markaris, among many others. Trianon, 21 Kodringtonos, tel 210.821.5469. To April 29.
