Leonce and Lena | Athens | July 28 & 31

Director Kornelios Selamsis directs Georg Buchner’s comedy “Leonce and Lena” in operatic form based on a libretto by Yiannis Asteris. Performances take place at the National Theater on Thursday, July 28, and Sunday, July 31. They start at 9 p.m. and are part of this year’s Greek Festival. Admission ranges from 15 to 20 euros. Tickets for Greek Festival events can be purchased online at www.viva.gr as well as at the festival’s box offices at 39 Panepistimiou St, inside the arcade (open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and the Herod Atticus Theater on Dionysiou Aeropagitou St (open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
