TANKERS Still firmer conditions on Aframaxes in the Med with rates around W/S 160. Suezmax market is quiet with a lack of fresh inquiry. – The Continent is around W/S 170 for round-trip voyages, while Gunvor out of Tallinn has fixed M/T «A. Germania» with discharge Continent at W/S 180. – On Suezmaxes, Atmi has fixed M/T «Tromso Fidelity,» loading Continent December 5 for 135,000 tons, with US Gulf destination, at W/S 135. – In Caribs, BP has fixed M/T «Patriot,» loading Trinidad December 3 for 70,000 tons of cargo, discharging USG, at W/S 175, while Stusco has fixed M/T «Irene» for same size cargo, loading ECM November 28, with USG discharge destination, at W/S 170. – On Suezmaxes, CSSA has fixed M/T «Spetses» for 130,000 tons of cargo, loading W. Africa December 9, with UKCM discharge, at W/S 107.5. DRY CARGO Rates on Capesize VSSLs in the Atlantic still strong, but very few new cargoes have surfaced in the market. – Eastern Rich has fixed subjects on the 161,010 dwt 1995-built Hanjin relet the M/V «Aquadonna» for December 14-15, delivery Moneypoint, for a trip via Narvik to China, at USD 19,250 daily. Eastern Rich took the cargo from Pioneer. Hanjin booked the M/V «Aquadonna» for two years’ trading at the end of October at USD 15,000 daily. – On Panamaxes, rates are steady. In the Atlantic, Panocean has fixed M/V «Yong Jia,» 74,500 dwt, delivery US Gulf December 11-20 trip, redelivery Far East, at 11,000 USD per day or 297,500 ballast bonus, while Transfield has fixed M/V «Tetien Trader,» built 2001, 73,910 dwt delivery La Coruna (Spain) November 25-30 via US Gulf, redelivery Continent, at 10,500 USD daily. – In Far East, Cosbulk has fixed M/V «Vita Trader» built 1989, 66,676 dwt delivery Lianyungang (China) December 1-5, redelivery Taiwan, at 8,500 USD daily. m Cargill has fixed M/V «Orestis Ermis,» built 1981, 64,947 dwt, delivery Ghent November 20 via South America, redelivery Gibraltar-Skaw, at 8,000 USD daily.
