Bank deposits drop four bln euros in January

Greek business and household bank deposits resumed their downward trend in January, falling two percent from the previous month, the Bank of Greece said on Tuesday.

Central bank data showed deposits fell to 204.8 billion euros from 208.9 billion in December.

In 2010 deposits in this category fell 12.2 percent or 29.1 billion euros from a year earlier.
