March exports rise 23 percent

Greek exports in March rose 23.6 percent year-on-year to 1.75 billion euros, mainly due to a jump in sales to non EU trading partners, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Tuesday.

Exports to non EU members reached 735.4 million euros, 42 percent higher than the same period last year, and consisted mainly of mineral fuels and industrial goods.

Exports to EU members hit 1.02 billion euros and consisted primarily of food, industrial and chemical products.
